Rice Cereal

Here are some pictures of Logan's first rice cereal last night. He has been waking up a lot more at night, so I decided it was time to fill his belly real full before bed time to see if he would stay asleep longer. He did. We were only up twice last night to give him his pacifier. As you can see, our first attempt wasn't that enjoyable. I shouldn't have waited until he was so hungry to try this. He was ready for his bottle (because that's what he knows happens after his bath, duh!) and I stuck a spoonful of mush in his mouth. He had a bottle "chaser" after every few bites to get him to swallow. But he slept better. . .

So tonight before his bath I fed him while he was in his bouncer. He was sitting nice and still at first and took a few great bites then he got excited and started bouncing so the cereal kept hitting his nose. It didn't take me long to decide to move him to his Bumbo seat. He at the whole little bowl without shedding a tear. It was a 20 minute process. Surely we'll get more efficient when he gets the hang of it.

Please don't tell Dr. McGehee, who said not to give him any rice cereal until after our 4 month appointment. Logan will be 4 months on Friday, so I don't feel that rebellious!

We are leaving for California on Friday to see Andrew's family. I am so nervous to fly with Logan now that he is so much more awake and aware. Hopefully he will be his usual laid back self. We'll let you know!

Yes he does! I need you to call me next time he gets pissed off so I can have his sweet little cry on my voice mail. I'm so sad I accidently erased the last one.
