Diaper cake. . .

. . . not quite as tasty as cheesecake, but way more fun to dig into.

I'm sad that I had to take these two diaper cakes apart yesterday. Each of them were on display at their respective showers and their makers are brilliant and patient people. I could never put one of these together, but they were so fun to take apart. Each layer had a fun treat in it that I hadn't noticed at first glance - a cute onesie, soft bib, swaddling blanket, nail clippers, nose sucky thingy, etc.
The blue one had several scrolls tucked into it with sweet sayings on them like "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be." (From Love you Forever)

Thanks Kim's cousin Shawna Kuykendall (Tres Chic in Euless, TX)!

31 Weeks

One might think that I should put a little extra effort into looking cute for these pictures since they are posted for the world to see. Logan will probably look back and say, "Boy, mom, you must've had a rough pregnancy!"

Truth is that I never think about taking these pictures until my second wind at night after our walk. Andrew drove off our walk tonight to see how far I go and I'm embarassed to say that I'm waddling just over a mile these days. I started a pregnancy yoga DVD last night and as it turns out, I'm not very good at yoga.

Making Bob Thomas Proud

In the spirit of the Republican National Convention (and my new girl crush for Sarah Palin) I thought we should post a picture of Logan's elephant friend and a much appreciated onesie from Grandpa Thomas. Although he can't wear it on election day, he will wear it this Fall and we will take picutures of him in it and put them all over his room in preparation for the 2028 election.

29 weeks. . .

. . and you can hardly tell I'm pregnant! Right? Right.

Is anyone noticing a pattern with my hair? If you said pony tail, messy, messy pony tail then you win! I'll share a cookie next time I see you. Maybe.

Mom and Dad were in this weekend for Labor Day. The had been to Paris, TX for Sunday service and stopped in for a couple days on their way home. I had plenty of projects to keep them busy. Dad and Andrew painted the office/fitness room. (I'll give them credit, but please note that no one got pictures of me cutting in EVERY wall and painting two walls all by myself!) Our elliptical machine was in Logan's room and needed a new home, so we did some furniture shuffling and made it all work. And, as many of you know, furniture shuffling is my dad's specialty! Thanks Mom and Dad for all your help this weekend!
