We are home from a very, very, very white Christmas in Omaha. The most snow they've had at Christmas since 1941. We finally made it out of town on Christmas Day at 1 PM, only 19 hours after we were supposed to get there. We are fortunate, though, to not have had to sleep in the airport like many families had done. Can you imagine?!
Omaha was beautiful and COVERED in snow. We didn't get out much, and it was very relaxing. Bob and Judy were SO nice to let us get lots of rest while they watched Logan. Thank you!!!
Logan enjoyed playing with his cousins who follow him everywhere (which makes my job easier!) and we were all busy watching him climb up and down stairs. He's great at "up" and is very good at "feet first" when he's coming down.
PB&J is Logan's new favorite food. He has devoured an entire sandwich the several times I have given him one. We cut them in 4 strips and he squishes them all in one hand and tries to put them all in his mouth. I guess he's worried one of us will take a slice when he's not looking.
We dressed him up in full snow-gear one day just for pictures. He wasn't too happy about it. We were planning to go sledding, but there was too much snow for that to even be enjoyable.
It was a good time once we got there and we are sad to have to go back to work tomorrow. A long weekend is ahead, though, with a Horned Frog victory at the end!

Update
Tonight's flight was just cancelled. We're hoping to be out first thing in the morning. BUMMER!!!!
Christmas Eve
We celebrated Christmas this morning with Logan before I left for work. Our flight to Omaha at 6:30 PM tonight was cancelled, so after many calls to AA, Andrew and Bob Thomas got us on the 9:30 flight. Should be interesting with a baby at bedtime!
We've been so focussed on Omaha weather that we forgot to watch our own - LOTS of snow today! We're leaving the house in an hour. Please pray for a safe and fast journey with no delays.
Here are some pictures from this morning and the snow.

Merry Christmas Time!
Where's Logan? We are letting Logan get familiar with tableware. It never stays on the plate. Imagine that!
Logan and I took a road trip this weekend to visit my college girlfriends and their babies. Four of us had 2008 babies. Logan is the youngest. This is Easton. He is SO smart and has the biggest dimples and the best smile.
Peyton and Logan. P is 2 months older than Lo.
Trying to get the 3 boys in a picture together. Ha!
My camera battery went dead after this picture, so I don't have any mommy shots.
Last weekend a friend and co-worker of mine out did herself and hosted the most amazing ornament party in her home. You would think she lived in the North Pole. Her Christmas decor and spirit is elf-like! This is the ornament I made.
This our mantle this year.
I brought a goodie box home from the ornament party and Logan enjoyed a gingerbread cookie - the whole thing!
I hosted our 4th annual ornament exchange party (a girl's only party) this year. I had a champagne bar and made cakeball favors. I'm pretty proud of them!
This laptop needs to be plugged in, so its a good time stop. I wanted to catch everyone up on our busy holiday season. We head to Omaha (check weather.com and pray for this poor Texas family!) on Christmas Eve for a long weekend. Andrew and I will head to Phoenix after the New Year to watch our Horned Frogs stomp Boise State. . .again. Logan's way too fun right now and his newest favorite thing is toilet flushing.
Good night all and Merry Christmas Week!

Getting faster!
Logan is a walker. I can officially say that now because rather than crawling to something, he finds something to pull up on so that he can walk to it. He is very steady on his feet and we are very thankful that there haven't been any major spills. . . yet! Here's some video!
Oh Christmas Tree. . .
This morning it was 31 degrees and we bundled up to go get our Christmas tree. I will post pictures of that when it is decorated. We're one string short on lights. I will post pictures when I'm done. . .maybe.
"Aunt" Janet bought Logan this COZY camo outfit for Logan's 1st birthday at Bass Pro Shop. It was the perfect outfit for tree shopping. Thanks Aunt Janet!

Happy Birthday Lexie!
Today was Lexie's 3rd birthday party. It was at the neatest indoor play facility. They had a bouncy house, a track with all kinds of buggies, strollers, cars, and push toys. The floors were covered in foam flooring. Completely child-proof and way fun. It was Logan's nap time, but you wouldn't have known it because he was so entertained.

Happy Thanksgiving
We are in San Antonio today and will head back to Fort Worth tomorrow to rest up for the TCU game on Saturday. We are very thankful today and every day for our great friends and loving family.
Turkey leg photo opp - it's a little sad what we put him through for a picture. . .
Love me some green bean casserole!
And a year ago today. . .
Can't believe it's been a year!

Logan is 1!
Last Friday Logan turned 1. We had a fun-filled weekend with both sets of grandparents in town and a birthday party on Saturday. Here are a few pictures from the weekend and some of his new favorite toys. We got Logan a wagon. He has always liked his wagon at school and was very excited to see one at his house.
Cousin Raleigh got him this buggy. It is an indoor toy for now and he can't stay off of it. If he's not sitting in it waiting for a ride, then he's climbing all over it or pushing it around.
This is Charlie at Logan's party. Charlie and Logan share a birthday, but Charlie turned 2.
Asher Z and Ella
This monkey took some warming up to. It is in our office now and he still gives it the evil eye when he sees it.
Logan wasn't too sure about his smash cake and all the attention he was getting.
C'mon birthday boy, wear your hat!
. . .cry if I want to . . .
a very sweet cousin Raleigh
Andrew took Logan to his one year appointment today. He is holding steady at 22 pounds and is 30 inches tall. He got FIVE shots. I'm glad I didn't have to witness that, but Andrew said he was a trooper.
Logan is getting very confident on his own two feet and has excellent balance and will stand for up to a minute before he decides to move sometimes. And when he does move, he takes 5-6 steps with a big grin on his face.
Our little explorer has learned that he can pull the door handle down on the back door. Fortunately he doesn't have enough strengh yet to get it open. I give him one month! He is also quite the climber and can get a knee or foot up on just about anything to give him leverage. This makes for a very nervous mommy.
When we put his velcro Nikes on him he immediately undoes the velcro and scratches at it. We've been wearing our lace-ups more often.
More to come soon. I just realized it is after 1 AM! What am I doing!?

Give 'em hell!
Glad to be home, but had a super fun weekend with the Fuller family in the Kansas City area. We were sad to miss TCU's sold out, rear-end kickin' game against Utah. BUT we were thrilled to spend the weekend celebrating Shauna (Andrew's cousin) and Josh's wedding.
I've been to a lot of weddings (don't even get me started - in 2005 alone I attended 12 weddings), but this one was one of the most beautiful, personal, family-oriented weddings ever. The fall theme (leaves, not hay) was PERFECTLY executed down to the last detail. Aunt Bev and Shauna should sell their wedding planning services and I'm not just saying that.
On Friday I met up with an old friend who now lives in that area and she took our family pictures. I'll post a blurb about that when I get proofs (no hurry Karyn, I honestly mean that). Logan was way past tired, so it wasn't the most smooth photo session ever, but I'm certain we got a few. It was so fun to see Karyn and to meet her darling Presley finally.
On Friday night my sorority sister Ali came to visit us at the hotel. My father-in-law has those pictures, so they'll follow soon, too. Ali will get married in KC in February, so I will get to head that direction again soon. Great city!
Here's a shot of Logan at the wedding
And Logan fell asleep with me in bed after rehearsal on Friday. I pretended to be asleep for about ten minutes while he wound himself down. He was so fun to watch roll around from side to side with his monkey. He would roll, then wave bye-bye to the air, roll to the other side, wave bye-bye again. It was like he was waving to his guardian angels. Very sweet.
Here's one with Grandpa.
And one very blue-eyed boy eating an animal cracker
Let's not talk about how he'll be one on Friday and about how he is getting quite confident on his own two feet. We'll try to get that on video this week. We got about 5 steps out of him multiple times this weekend.
